Wicca

also known as "the Craft", The craft of the Wise,Witchcraft, or the Old Religion it is a contemporary earth based, spiritual religion, based on ancient pre-Christian pagan religions of Europe. It is a religion that celebrates the cycles of the year and the duality of divinity. It sees all things as part of God and Goddess, it sees the Earth Herself as a living organism of whom we are part of. (The earth does not belong to us we belong to her).Wiccans believe in a divine force as the source of all or Deity. the Earth and all aspects within the Earth, the animals, the trees and stones all that is nature & life itself is considered sacred.Wiccans reverence Nature in all her forms. It uses modern & ancient, ceremonies & rituals as well as shamanic practices to attune oneself with nature and Deity. It has no single leader or high authority, it has no prophets and or anyone who dictates its laws and beliefs, Only But God or Goddes. All Wiccans (for the most Part) adhere to one overriding ethical precept which is stated in the "Wiccan Rede,"An Ye Harm None, Do What Ye Will" No this is not a license to do whatever they want. for every witch, wiccan or pagan knows or has experienced "The Three-Fold Law".it is the belief and principle on which magick is used. and relates to the use of power and energy, for what ever you do is returned to the sender, three times the level it was sent out. so for meny reasons this just being one of them. You have to be careful the way you use and treat Magic and should never just Dabble or become a witch or pagan for all the wrong Reasons. There are of course differnt paths and traditions contained within Wicca, Each with it's own brand of ritual and magick. some which are (just to name a few) Alexandrian Wicca, Celtic Wicca, Gardnerian Wicca, Seax-Wica, Druidic Witchcraft and of course the Solitaire witch. But one must also understand wicca is considered to be witchcraft but not all witchcraft is related to wicca. For instance we have Santeria which is a form of Witchcraft, voodoo, Macubre just to name a couple. so for the student I say this dont put your focus On just one subject One Path, there is much to be learned but not all knowledge is found in the same place, and sometimes the important subjects are not even related to your Certain Path. so Read Read Read and come to your own conclusions and remember it takes more then a life time to truly know it all. to put it simple Just like life we never stop being students of our Path.
